Bad Boy Era is the fourth, and final, book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and follows mastermind matchmaker, Everly, as she falls for her college roommates twin brother, Conri.

About Bad Boy Era
Everly grew up in a world full of men. She was raised mostly by a single dad, with three uncles who are burly, overprotective mountain men. She is the princess in the family, and always will be. She started matchmaking with her dad, when he was trying to hire a nanny to take care of her years ago. Over the last few years, she has continued her matchmaking with her uncles, finding them the perfect wives. While away at college, in Ireland, she held matchmaking gatherings to help her fellow classmates find the loves of their lives, or the loves for right now.

Conri “Wolf” Reilly is a twin. His sister, Cliona, is Everly’s roommate in college. He and his sister grew up with parents who always worked. Cliona turned to Rugby at a young age and got him involved in it as well. They both play for their college, Trinity, and are hoping to get offers to play professionally after they graduate.

Wolf is a bit of a hothead and tends to have issues on the rugby field. During a crucial match he lost his cool. Rightfully so, but it cost him. But is there a hidden gem lying in wait for him? Why yes, yes there is.
What turns out to be one last chance for Wolf becomes his salvation. He and Everly start to bond after they become parents. They spend more time together taking care of their baby. They start to open up to each other. He tells her about his childhood friend and his feelings of guilt for leaving him behind. She tells him about the mean girls from high school. Sharing is caring. Caring turns into friends with benefits. Friends with benefits turns into real feelings.
But Everly knows this is only a fling. Wolf is going back to Ireland. He is only on Fletcher Mountain for training camp. So even though she has fallen for him, she can never tell him. She would never hold him back from his dream. But what about her dreams?
What will happen when Wolf makes an important life decision? Will he be able to convince Everly that they have something special? Whose dreams will come true and whose will be shattered?
Impressions
This book is so full of moments. I cannot begin to tell you all of my favorites, since there are so many. But here are my top ones.
First, the alpaca. Lordy did I snort laugh at that scene. Just saying. Be prepared. Do not take a big drink of anything or you will spew.
Second, Stevie calling Wolf by his gran’s name, Nana. No one understands why, but she is constantly calling him Nana.
Third, the birthday party, and the aftermath of that day. Everly outdid herself and gave him the best gift ever. But when other things happen before and after the party, my heart broke for her.
Finally, the charity auction for Mount Millie. Those Fletcher men are the absolute best and show Everly what she is missing out on.
Narration
I have never heard Connor Crais do an Irish accent before, but dang was it good. I loved him as Wolf. Paired with Erin Mallon as Everly and this is a match made in heaven. Throw in Teddy Hamilton as Everly’s dad and uncles and Emma Wilder as Cliona and others and this was a sweet listen.
