Emotionally gripping does not even begin to describe The Wicked Aftermath. All I can say is keep the tissues handy because you will need them. It starts in Chapter 1 and continues all the way through the book until the end. If you are looking for a tearjerker book this is the one to read. So much loss and turmoil in this book.

About The Wicked Aftermath
In The Wicked Aftermath Leah is a waitress at The Salty Hogg, the bar owned by Tank’s parents, Conroy and Ginger Wicked. She is always tongue tied around Tank and switches tables with one of the other waitresses so he will not see how discombobulated he makes her.

Tank is trying to figure out why Leah will not speak with him or wait on him at the bar. He knows he is a big guy and she is petite, but he has never done anything to scare her. Little does he know, she is attracted to him. But with a brother and two children at home, she does not have time to date or even be interested in anyone.
Until one fateful night…
River, her brother, calls her to pick him up. She loads the girls, Junie and Rosie, in to the car and picks him up. They stop at the convenience store to buy some milk, where they run in to Tank. River is so protective of his sister, that he tells her he will talk to Tank. Leah tells him no. They get the milk and head home, not knowing what is to come.
On the bridge, the car is sideswiped by a truck and they go flying off of the bridge into the water. Lucky for them Tank was out for a ride and is not that far behind them. When he sees the truck hit their car, he calls 911 and then pulls over to help get them out of the car.
River and Leah are having troubles getting one of the girls out of their car seat. When she is finally free, Leah heads to the surface, but Tank grabs one of the girls and helps her get to the surface. He then goes back for River. Due to the damage to the car from the impact, River is wedged in and it takes Tank two more trips down to get River free.
While all of this is going on, all of the Wickeds and Dark Knights converge on the scene.
Unfortunately, for Tank, history is repeating itself. Meanwhile Leah is reliving feelings she hoped never to have again. He and Leah are both struggling through similar tragedies and will need each other in the coming days.
Impressions
Let me tell you about Junie (aka Juju or Twitch) and Rosie (aka Cheeky). They are the cutest little girls ever. Even with everything they have had to deal with in their short lived lives, they give meaning to life and keep everyone happy and moving forward.
Tank was a surprise for me. I know all of the Wicked men are incredible, but what biker man would want to inherit an emotionally devastated girlfriend and two little munchkins, especially since they are not even Leah’s children. She adopted them. Yet he stuck with her through everything and went above and beyond with her and the girls. What an amazing man. He finally found meaning for his life after losing his sister.

Ms Foster, you broke my heart more than once in this book. And yet, I was so happy with the ending and even the middle. There is so much love in the Wicked family. I want to be a member or be adopted by them.
Narration
Aiden Snow embodies Tank Wicked with his deep, gruff, growly, alpha, biker voice. Jennifer Mack is fairly new to me. I enjoyed her portrayal of Leah, with her grief, anger and vulnerability.
