The Proposal Play is book 3 in the Love and Hockey season and follows our favorite hockey player Asher and his best friend Maeve.

Asher is the hunky best friend of Beckett, Maeve’s brother, and Maeve. They met 10 years ago after suffering losses. They supported each other and helped each other navigate the grieving process. That was the beginning of best friends. Not a three musketeers deal, but Asher and Beckett are best friends and Asher and Maeve are best friends.
Asher is doing a charity bachelor auction and needs his good luck charm with him. When Maeve has a wardrobe malfunction, Asher helps her solve the problem. While she is in the restroom freshening up, she overhears a conversation. When she tells Beckett about it, he gives her carte blanche to win Asher in the acution. However, he never expected what she would do.
So off the best friends go to Vegas for a fun concert and Vegas shenanigans. However, what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas.

Before they can even return to San Francisco, they have been tagged on social media for their pay it forward generosity. But the posts also include their impulsive action. Now Vegas has invaded San Francisco.
Maeve is concerned that she is getting a artwork commission because of her relationship with Asher. She is not feeling confident in herself.
Asher is playing well, as long as his good luck charm is at the games. But while on a road trip he has a run in with an opposing player that shakes him.
As much as thee two want to claim they are just friends, so much more is going on between them. And has been for a long time. Personally, I think Beckett nailed it with his warnings to both Asher and Maeve.
The rules they established in Vegas, slowly get thrown out the window in San Francisco. Will these two remain friends when their Vegas shenanigans come to an end? Or will they finally admit what is right in front of their faces?
And that bomb that was dropped at the end. Dang, warn a girl. Let me just say, I cannot wait for that story.
Impressions
I found it interesting that Maeve is the one who recognizes Asher’s obsessive behavior. He worries about those he loves. Which, in turn, causes him to do extensive, read obsessive, research on whatever is going on in their lives. Although it is done out of love, he tends to cross lines.
And let me just say, I freaking love his dads. They are relaxed, easy going, fun dads. And they love him to pieces.
Narration
I loved Robert Hatchett as Asher. His tone, his demeanor, everything screamed his is Asher. And Vanessa Edwin as Maeve reminded me why I love listening to her. I will definitely be looking for more books by these two.
