But what is the old adage about best laid plans? Yeah, life will take an unexpected turn and throw Rhett, Lainey and both of their families in to emotional chaos.

Blame is laid without knowing the whole story. Words are said in anger and anguish. Decisions are made that will change the course of many lives. While time is needed to heal, the choices made will have repercussions.

Impressions

This story brought back flashbacks to Ms Mann’s novel When Ashes Fall. This story is told in a similar manner. She flips back and forth between the present and the past in order to fully tell the story. She broke me in When Ashes Fall and nearly wrecked me in this story. Be prepared, you will need tissues, and time to digest everything that happens.
