About Pucking Irresistible
Trace is the son of legendary hockey player, Fox Coulter. He has an older brother, Trevor, who he has always looked up to, even knowing his faults. He has played hockey all of his life and is now playing for Loveland U, where he is a junior. He hopes to get drafted by the majors next year, but he has some things working against him that he will have to work hard to fix.
Lena is the girl next door. She is sweet, yet she has no idea how beautiful she is. She has played tennis her entire life, but had to give it up so she could help her mother out more. She is attending Loveland U on scholarship and working jobs in order to help her mother out.
When they were in high school, Lena and Trace were best friends. She tutored him, even though she thought he did not really need her help. She liked spending time with him. She was always over at his house and it was like she was part of the family. Until she no longer was.
Three years ago, Trace’s brother, Trevor, ruined the best thing he ever had. They were always competing against each other. In hockey, in school, for the girls. It did not matter what it was, Trevor always had to take what Trace wanted. But that is typical of brothers. But Trevor went too far and cost Trace everything. Not once, but twice.
Trace is always having to clean up Trevor’s messes. Based on the latest mess, Trace now needs a girl next door girlfriend. He has to show he is grounded, committed and not a wildcard. His first choice is the one person who hates him and has not spoken to him in three years.
Lena cannot believe the proposition she just received from Trace. However, it could work for her. Her mother needs to get an appointment with a specialist that has a one year waiting list. The Coulter name could get her moved up that list. So that is her bargaining chip. She only wants her mother taken care of, nothing for herself.
But these two are in for one heck of a ride.
They have feelings for each other. They always have, but never admitted it. Three years of silence did nothing to dim their chemistry. And the flames will flare like a wildfire burning out of control.
Impressions
Get ready to be scorched in this story. These two have history. Until they overcome what happened in the past, they will not be able to move forward. But when they do, make sure you are wearing sunscreen. Or you will get burned.
After reading this book, I really need Trevor’s book. What is his story? What makes him tick? And what will it take to tame this wild horse? Or should I say who will it take to tame him?
I loved seeing the Coulters return. It has been so many years since I read the original series, so seeing Fox and Tammy was bittersweet. I am hoping to see more of the OGs in future books.
