About Love Lies and Whiskey
Doc is the eldest son of Tiny and Wynnie Whiskey. He is the veterinarian at Redemption Ranch, saving abused and neglected horses. Like all of the Whiskey men, when he gives away his heart, it is for forever.
Juliette is a single mom of a teenage son. She is also a veterinarian, working for Jade Braden. Her father is the governor of Colorado and is a very controlling man.
Sixteen years ago, Juliette spent time on Redemption Ranch, where she worked with the horses to get experience before going off to college. When she finds herself in a precarious situation, she only, truly, has one choice.
After years of raising her son, Lucas, in California, Juliette has moved back to Colorado. Her Grandma Hazel has passed away and left her home to Juliette. When Lucas gets bucked off of a bull, she takes him to the ER. As they are leaving, they run in to Doc and Birdie and the confrontation is brutal.
As always happens with the Whiskey’s, they rally around Doc and are at his house when he returns. He is not ready to talk about it. But he is ready for some answers.
After several heated discussions, Juliette and Doc learn they were duped, betrayed and lied to years ago. But the conversations yet to come will simply break your heart.
As time moves on, this new family starts to find their own footing and getting in to a routine. But nothing is ever easy and they will face yet another challenge. And this challenge will bring you to tears.

This book is an emotional roller coaster. I was angry at times, sad at others and had tears rolling down my face at one point. But that final scene was the hope we always look for. Keep tissues handy. You will need them.
