About High Stakes
Morgan left Lance at the end of Deep Pockets for keeping secrets. She is heartbroken over this. Lance is not faring any better than Morgan. He is miserable for not opening up to her. He thought he was keeping her safe by not telling her about his background. Instead, he has made them both miserable.
Lance made a mistake. But when he comes up with the idea of the ultimate protection for Morgan, he will have to deal with Gwen and Atticus. Is it a harebrained idea? Yeah, probably. Impressions
Yes this is a cliffhanger, and oh what a conclusion this book has. But in between there are sweet and tender moments. There are stressful scenes that no one should have to witness. And then there are just normal everyday moments.
I found myself questioning things in this book. Gwen and I are on the same page about one potential question. I really hope the next book answers these questions and provides reasons why.
