About Good Time Boyfriend
Good Time Boyfriend finds Devney in a quandary. She has been lying to her family for months about a boyfriend. When her family goes to the bar that Heath owns to confront him about his relationship, or lack thereof, with their sister, Devney panics.
Devney beelines it for the bar to explain to Heath what is about to happen and to beg him to go along with her story. Surprisingly, he does. After her family leaves, he makes her explain what just happened and why. She tells him the story of how her family keep wanting to “take care of” her so she told them she had a boyfriend.
After everything, Heath decides to date Devney. They start going out on dates for real. He meets her family. She meets his brothers and sister. Unfortunately, near the end of the story, she also meets his parents. Not a pleasant experience for anyone at the family dinner when they show up unannounced.
Devney and Heath are an interesting combination. I’ve never heard a guy state that he and a girl had a meet cute. I saw his softer side when he was talking about this. He’s also a good guy in the fact that he goes along with Devney’s story. How many guys would actually do that? Maybe he was just trying to protect her. As the oldest in his family, that is what he does; protect his family members.
There are some heavy moments in this book as well as some hilarious ones. The book is well rounded with a little bit of everything in it.

How can you not love Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder in a Carrie Ann Ryan book.
