Wow!!!! What more can I say about Kane Bad. At first I thought his ego would turn me off. But as you get to know him throughout the story, you realize his ego is just his armor. It keeps people at a distance.
Sable is a small town girl with family as her focus. She protects her siblings and feels like she needs to be there should they need her. She’s not one to do anything for herself, except for her truck, business and music. But she has no desire to take the music to the next level. When city boy Kane comes to town to get her and the band to open for Johnny Bad’s tour, she flat out refuses. So what does Kane do? He blackmails her. He’s got her number. He knows she will do anything for her family and friends regardless of the cost to her. But will the cost be too high?
So many emotions happen in this story. Anger, frustration, resentment, lust, protectiveness, fear, love and so many more. And this is from all of the characters. But I think the letting the walls down by both Kane and Sable is the best emotion of all. It shows trust and acceptance.
These two are destined for each other. They are the only people they can let their walls down around and just be themselves. They both need each other to keep them grounded.
