Sutton Steele is a reporter for The Discovery Hour. This is not her dream job, but a step in achieving her ultimate dream job.
Flynn Braden is the creative mind behind the show. He has spent his life on one adventure or another and wants the world to see what is out in the world.
Flynn and Sutton do NOT get along. Yeah, yeah, surprise surprise. She thinks he hates her. He is constantly critical of her abilities and never praises for anything. She feels like she is not good enough. Flynn pushes her to do better and be better. Just not in a conducive way.
When their boss changes the parameters of their current assignment, these two will have to learn to get along for at least three days. Their survival will depend on it, literally.
The trip starts off with a bang. When Flynn tells her he will keep her safe, she finally agrees to relax and trust him. They finally agree that “what happens in the rain forest stays in the rain forest”. And oh what this rain forest could say if it could talk.
Meanwhile, Sutton is reporting, on the fly, and Flynn is filming for an upcoming show. She has done her research and is able to talk about the flora and fauna they come across. She is professional and educated on her subjects.
The point their boss made to them before the trip was that they need to break the tension between them. So when they return and are looking at the raw film in his office, their boss is pleased to see them finally getting along.
Will their happiness last? Or will one of them do something stupid? Miscommunication is usually the reason to doom a relationship. Will this be the case with Sutton and Flynn?
Impressions
There are a lot of emotions in this story. Animosity, lust, fear, gratitude, love, heartbreak and so much more. Be prepared to have mixed emotions about this story. I know I am still digesting everything that happened with these two.
