This author is new to me and I was concerned about starting with book 4. No need to worry if you haven’t read/listened to the previous books. Each book is a standalone.
A lot is happening in this book. We have the mafia, the cops, dirty cops, a need for vengeance, human trafficking, and, of course, a love story. Frankie and his guys are family. When Zara comes into play, she is accepted by them. Even if she was a cop. Be prepared to gasp in shock. Secrets are revealed.
I really enjoyed the narration of this book. Antonio Amato handled the Russian accent quite well. But I really enjoyed Angelina Rocca. I loved her smoky voice. She is new to me and definitely a new favorite.
