About The Trouble With Flings
Fitz is the middle son of the Silvers. He has always been the quiet one, the peacekeeper. He loves island life and has never had a desire to leave and explore the rest of the world. He plans to take over his family’s resort and has been running it for a few years.
Jennifer is a Stone. Yeah, one of those Stones. Her brothers are Jace, married to Dixie Whiskey, and Jared, partners with Seth Braden and Wells Silver. She was a rebellious child and teen, but she had one person in her corner that got through to her and helped her become the person she is today.
A year ago, Fitz had a one night stand with a woman, on the island, that left quite an impression on him. He always hoped, but never expected, to see her again. So when he runs into her in the lobby of the hotel, where he is attending a conference for the resort, he is pleasantly surprised.
Jennifer is surprised to see Fitz in Costa Rica. She is there for a mini vacation, but there is a problem with her reservation. Fitz, being the gentleman he is, takes care of the problem, much to her chagrin. While he attends his conference, she indulges in water sports. She attends an event with him for the conference which leads to, what she hopes, is a repeat of their summer fling. But he has other ideas.
Fitz believes he and Jennifer are meant to be together, so he plans to woo her. He spends his days and nights with her, making sure she experiences everything on her bucket list. But the time passes too fast and they are returning home. How will he be able to convince her they are meant to be when she is in the city and he is on the island?
But Jennifer receives the surprise of her life on the same day she finds Fitz sitting on the steps of her apartment building. Will she tell him her news? Will this make winning her over harder or easier for him? So many questions.
Impressions
Let me start by saying I have never laughed so hard that I cried when reading a book. But Ms Foster brought me to tears on two separate occasions in this book. Lordy those island boys and girls are competitive. Add in fathers who are pranksters to the max and you can only imagine what they will get up to.
Fitz knows what he wants. He knows what it will take to get it. And he is ready to finally get his forever. Watching him treat Jennifer with kid gloves was truly a woman’s dream come true. He knows what she needs before she even knows. Man I need a Fitz in my life.
Jennifer has been on a terror since she was a teenager. She is headstrong and determined and relies on absolutely no one. But Fitz is breaking down her barriers. She enjoys spending time with him. She loves the little things he does for her. She is falling for him, even though she does not want to.
