About My Whiskey Redemption
Birdie is the youngest of the Whiskey children and has always been an enigma. She dresses to make herself happy and does not care what people think. Instead of working at Redemption Ranch, she has her own business in town. She is very creative and loves coming up with new chocolate ideas and marketing ideas for her business. She loves her family and will stand up and fight for what she believes in.
Crew childhood is full of strife. He is the oldest of two boys born to his parents. His younger brother always looked up to him. But when fate steps in, his family would never be the same. Crew spent his teens and early adult years trying to make his father proud. He tried to emulate him. Until one night when everything in Crew’s life changed.
Birdie and Crew meet in the cutest way possible. When they lock eyes, all she sees is her Viking Ragnar. And all he sees is Trouble. Both will continue to live up to those names throughout the book and throughout their lives.
When Crew realizes who Trouble is related to, reality sets in for him. Although he is missing her, Crew must do some hard things first before he can seek her out. But fate has other plans.
Crew and Birdie cannot seem to stay away from each other. They think they are being sneaky, but in a small town there are no secrets.
Crew and Birdie spend a lot of time together. He is teaching her the financial side of the business in terms she can understand. That is something no one else seems to be able to do. When at the ranch, she finds a reason to call him out or to touch him. But people notice things. And their secret will only be safe for so long.
When the showdown occurs, will Crew walk away to ensure Birdie does not lose her family? Will Birdie stand up and fight for the man she loves, even against the wishes of others in her family? Will this divide the family, or bring them closer together?
Impressions
Let me start by saying that Birdie does not disappoint. I was worried about who she could be paired up with that would be deserving of her. Ms Foster outdid herself with finding Crew. Absolute best pairing ever.
Birdie is full of sass, but she loves hard. Crew has a shadowed past, but he can’t help but fall for this amazing woman. He gives her the best name ever, Trouble. She is a troublemaker. Not in a bad way, but in a fun way. She likes to have fun, so buckle up buttercup, you are in for a ride.
Crew is learning to live with what has happened in his life. The mistakes he has made and the losses he has endured. And Birdie is the reason why. She listens to him. She is involved in his life and his feelings. She is THE ONE for him and he is THE ONE for her.
Enjoy the ride. The good times far outweigh the bad. The emotions will make you cry and make you laugh. But Trouble and Ragnar are a pair made for the ages.
