About Lucky

Lucky was recently signed to the Pittsburgh Titans. No one, and I mean no one, expected his kind of crazy in the locker room. We met Lucky in Penn’s book and quickly learned he is the king of social media, Tik Tok especially. But he also brings Mama Branson with him. And she is a gem to all of his teammates.

Winnie is a kindergarten teacher who started posting on Tik Tok about her dates gone wrong. She has a judgemental bunny that shares her screen time. She issues a dating challenge on Tik Tok that results in Lucky stitching her. And so their story begins.

Winnie just wants an average man to date. Lucky is anything but average. When she tells him as much, he decides to prove her wrong. But is this even possible?

I loved watching them get to know each other. They actually talked about what it is that they each wanted in a relationship and significant other. They shared about their family histories. They talked about their jobs. Considering these two are both influencers, it was refreshing to see them communicate.

Yes, they continue to post on Tik Tok. Both jointly and independently. I loved watching Winnie be real. Being vulnerable in her videos. But what I really hated was the haters. After awhile it started to take a toll on Winnie. Haters are going to be haters, but it is still hard to deal with day in and day out.

Impressions

I loved watching the WAGs step up and envelop Winnie as one of theirs. They included her. They supported her. They treated her like family. Lucky’s teammates also included her as one of their own and treated her like family.

There were a few funny moments in this story. The jar spaghetti sauce made me laugh out loud. But killing the tulip was just classic. As a plant killer myself, I was laughing since this is something I would do.

Winnie is so down to earth. And she settles Lucky. They need each other. They challenge each other. They can be themselves with each other. But they also force each other to step out of their comfort zones. Everyone should take a lesson from these two.

Narration

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom narrate this story. I have been listening to quite a few books narrated by CJ and have truly enjoyed her voice. It is soothing and vulnerable. Connor brings out the fun and flirty with his voice. Such a joy listening to these two.
