About The Saint

Cam is one of Jared Westin’s younger operator and tends to be impulsive. It has caused Boss Man issues over the years, but Cam is good at what he does. When a breach happens at one of the alphabet agencies, Cam is assigned to phone duty to monitor for agents support phone calls.

Amelia is a party planner who owns her own business with a partner. When chaos erupts at her sister’s home during movie night, she is flabbergasted and confused. She keeps asking questions instead of doing what her sister and brother in law tell her to do.

When Amelia finally follows the instructions that Hailey and Jonathan give her, she is connected to Cam. He knows her location, but she has no clue where he is. However, at the moment she has more pressing issues. She was followed and is now hiding for her life.

Cam manages to keep Amelia calm throughout the call. When police and multiple alphabet agencies descend on her hiding spot, she feels saved. But her nightmare is just beginning.

Amelia feels very alone, so she turns to calling Cam back. What she does not realize is that the phone number she has is not just for him. It takes her multiple phone calls before she reaches him again. Although he should hang up, he is just not able to.

Surprisingly, Boss Man encourages Cam to continue speaking with Amelia if she calls again. What is Boss Man up to? What does he know? What is his agenda?

When Cam arrives in Washington DC to meet with Beth, his contact from the chosen alphabet agency, he immediately distrusts her. When he finds out what Amelia is going through, he is so mad he calls Jared and calls in favors. Although he solves this issue, they have yet to face many more.

Impressions

I will say, this book left me with so many questions. I need to know what happened with certain people we meet throughout the storyline. Plus, who is the real bad guy in this story? I feel like I did not get true closure with this story and hope that another book is coming to clean up the missing pieces.

There are two scenes in this story that I truly loved. The time at the cabin when Amelia shows him that she has her freedom to move on with him. She has the closure she needs and is now able to move wherever he needs to be. The other scene is a combination of the birthday party and the kitten. It is truly Cam showing her that he listened to her and will give her anything he is able to. True love at its finest.
